Coronation Events

If you are planning on hosting a coronation event please remember to follow the guidance from the council which can be found below at Hampshire County Council or New Forest District Council. We will be announcing shortly what our plans are for the Coronation weekend so keep your eyes peeled.

Road Closures

Now the themes of 6–8 May weekend have been announced, and The Big Lunch is a focus for Saturday 7 May, local communities will start to organise street parties, and road closures will undoubtedly be a feature for some of these events, as will erecting bunting.

Hampshire County Council are planning initial communications this month to remind residents of the need to apply for temporary road closure licenses via their local council as soon as possible.
