Fawley Armed Forces Day
Join us for the 10th Armed Forces Day at Fawley, featuring the much-loved Fawley Show. After the collapse of the Fawley Show – a victim of its own success – Fawley Parish Council invited them to bring the ‘heart’ of their show to Armed Forces day. Thanks to this collaboration, this year’s event will be even more spectacular than usual.
Visitors can expect the arrival of two helicopters, a Scout and a Sioux from Historic Army Aircraft Flight, as well as a huge range of military, historic, and classic vehicles, including a visit from the mischievous “Herbie”. There will also be live music from a variety of bands, including Wire JD, Plus One, Junkyard Dogs, Davey Jones Locker, and Soulcatchers.
Families will find plenty of activities to keep them entertained, including a fun fair, children’s activities, the Model Boat Club, a craft market, and a petting farm. There will be food and drink available, or visitors can bring their own picnic. The highlight of the day, weather permitting, will be a flypast by Britain’s most beloved aircraft, the Supermarine Spitfire.
The event is a celebration of our Armed Forces and is free for all the family, (including polite dogs who can visit our new, enclosed Dog Walking Area).
